282 Weary Sun is a rare midseason indeterminate tomato producing large, flat-round beefsteak fruits weighing approximately 10.6–17.6 oz. The smooth to lightly ribbed tomatoes mature to deep yellow, golden yellow, and warm orange-yellow shades, often developing a glowing pink to rosy-red blush around the blossom end and lower fruit. Inside, the tender, exceptionally juicy flesh combines orange-yellow color with pink marbling through the center and delivers refined sweetness, gentle acidity, and a rich, elegant tomato finish. Vigorous plants reach approximately 5.9–6.6 feet and continue producing over a long season. Provide strong staking or trellising for the heavy fruits and harvest when the yellow base brightens, the blush intensifies, and the fruit yields slightly to gentle pressure. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, sauces, juice, and colorful bicolor tomato platters.
