28 Teton de Venus is a striking midseason indeterminate heirloom tomato of Italian origin, widely preserved and grown in France and throughout Europe. The vigorous vines produce beautiful red heart-shaped to pear-shaped fruits weighing approximately 3.5–10.6 oz, with larger specimens possible under favorable conditions. Each fruit develops a distinctive pointed blossom end, sometimes accompanied by attractive ribbing and gently rounded shoulders. The soft, juicy flesh is meaty, tender, and flavorful, with relatively few seeds and a rich traditional tomato taste. Plants can reach approximately 5–6.5 feet and require sturdy staking, caging, or trellising. Excellent for fresh slicing, salads, sandwiches, tomato platters, sauces, coulis, stuffing, and preserving.
