Variety characteristics:

• 260 Dana's Dusky Rose is a flavorful beefsteak tomato producing broad, slightly flattened fruits weighing approximately 6 to 14 oz. The fruits ripen to dusky rose pink with purplish tones and occasional green shading around the shoulders. Substantial, meaty flesh contains relatively few seeds and offers a rich, satisfying tomato flavor with a pleasing balance of sweetness and acidity. Tall indeterminate plants with regular leaves benefit from sturdy staking or caging as they develop their substantial fruits. This midseason variety matures approximately 80 days after transplanting, with harvest timing influenced by growing conditions. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, and colorful tomato platters.
