Variety characteristics:

• 255 Dwarf Golden Champion is a historic American dwarf heirloom dating to 1898. The compact, sturdy plants typically reach approximately 2–4 feet tall and display distinctive dark green, rugose foliage with gently curled leaves. This mid-early to midseason dwarf indeterminate produces smooth, round to slightly flattened tomatoes weighing approximately 3–6 oz. The fruits ripen from pale yellow to an attractive golden yellow, sometimes developing a soft amber-orange cast at full maturity. Their juicy, tender flesh offers pleasant sweetness, mild acidity, and a balanced, easy-to-enjoy tomato flavor. The space-saving plants are well suited to small gardens, raised beds, patios, and large containers, although staking or a compact cage is recommended when they are carrying a heavy crop. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, garnishes, and colorful tomato platters.
