Variety characteristics:

• 243 Dwarf Goldfinch is a modern dwarf tomato introduced in 2019 from a cross between Sunny and Orange Pear. Its compact, sturdy plants produce attractive round, oblate, to gently oval fruits weighing approximately 3.5–8.8 oz. Fruits ripen from pale ivory and creamy yellow to bright golden yellow, sometimes developing a soft pink blush at full maturity. The tender, juicy flesh offers gentle sweetness, mild acidity, and a pleasant, balanced tomato flavor. Compact growth makes this variety well suited to raised beds, small gardens, patios, and large containers, while a short stake or compact cage helps support the heavier fruit clusters. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, lunch boxes, colorful tomato platters, and everyday garden snacking.
