Variety characteristics:

• 240 Dwarf BSP is an early to mid-early, highly productive bush tomato with sturdy plants reaching approximately 3.3 feet tall. The regular-leaf plants set large, round to oblate and broad heart-shaped fruits weighing up to approximately 12.3 oz. Fruits ripen to rich red, brick red, or reddish-brown tones, sometimes retaining a darker green shoulder and gentle ribbing near the stem end. The thick, juicy flesh delivers a satisfying full-bodied summer tomato flavor with pleasant sweetness and balanced acidity. Dwarf BSP is especially valued for its ability to produce a heavy crop before frost and for its notable tolerance of cool conditions and common field stresses. Grow in open ground, raised beds, or large containers, and provide a sturdy stake or compact cage to support the heavy fruit. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, burgers, sauces, and classic summer tomato platters.
