24 Yellow Submarine is a productive midseason indeterminate cherry tomato believed to have originated in Ireland as an improved selection of the classic Yellow Pear. Vigorous, open-growing plants feature distinctive potato-leaf foliage and commonly reach approximately 5.9–6.6 feet tall. Long trusses produce approximately 8–12 bright yellow pear, egg, and teardrop-shaped tomatoes, with individual fruits weighing approximately 0.5–1.1 oz. The smooth fruits ripen to a brilliant egg-yolk yellow or rich golden yellow. Inside, the juicy yellow flesh has a notably smooth, creamy texture that distinguishes it from many firmer Yellow Pear strains. Its rich sweetness, mild acidity, and fresh fruity aroma create an exceptionally pleasant snacking tomato. Train plants to one or two main stems and provide tall stakes, strings, cages, or trellising to support the vigorous vines and numerous fruit clusters. Excellent for fresh snacking, salads, lunch boxes, garnishes, skewers, roasting, whole-fruit preserving, and colorful tomato platters.
