• 239 Borisovna's Black Heart is a rare Kazakhstan-sourced, heirloom-type tomato with tall, vigorous indeterminate vines reaching approximately 5.2–6.6 feet. The regular-leaf plants produce beautiful heart-shaped fruits with distinctive pointed tips, typically weighing approximately 10.6–14.1 oz, while exceptional fruits may approach 17.6 oz under favorable conditions. The smooth skin ripens to deep mahogany, burgundy-red, or brown-red, with darker shading often developing around the shoulders. Dense, juicy crimson flesh contains relatively few seeds and delivers rich sweetness, earthy depth, subtle savory spice, and a full-bodied finish. This productive midseason variety performs well in gardens and greenhouses when given strong staking or trellising.
