Variety characteristics:

• 238 Dean Haley's Rainbow Dwarf is a newer dwarf tomato selection associated with Dean Slater and still showing some variation in variegation and overall expression. Compact plants carry attractive green, white, and cream-splashed foliage and can produce an impressive crop, particularly later in the season. The small fruits are generally round, gently flattened, or short plum-shaped, weighing approximately 1–2 oz. They ripen to orange or golden orange and may develop a soft red or pink blush, reflecting the bicolor influence of the Brad Gates plum-shaped 'square' parent type. Fruit size is notably uniform, and the plants can remain productive over a long harvest window. Because the variegated pattern may fade as plants mature, grow this variety as a distinctive collector selection rather than a perfectly fixed ornamental type. Provide a short stake or compact cage to support the productive branches. Excellent for fresh snacking, salads, lunch boxes, garnishes, and colorful container displays.
