Variety characteristics:

• 236 ABRIKOS is a rare Lithuanian tomato with vigorous, tall, indeterminate plants and distinctive soft, downy foliage and fruit skin. This mid-early to midseason variety produces large beefsteak tomatoes weighing approximately 8.8–10.6 oz, with exceptional fruits capable of exceeding 17.6 oz under favorable growing conditions. Fruits are round to gently flattened at the poles and may develop attractive ribbing around the shoulders. The unusual fuzzy skin ripens from warm apricot orange and orange-red to deep pink or rosy peach tones, giving the fruit a velvety appearance unlike most tomatoes. Inside, the substantial flesh is juicy, meaty, sweet, and fragrant, with a rich full tomato flavor. Because of its large fruit and vigorous growth, provide strong staking, caging, or trellising and allow generous spacing for airflow. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, sauces, tomato platters, and specialty heirloom displays.
