Variety characteristics:

• 230 Original Pear, also known as Originalnaya Grusha, is a rare Ukrainian green-when-ripe tomato developed by breeder Ruslan Dukhov. This productive mid-late-season indeterminate has regular-leaf foliage and produces distinctive broad pear-shaped to teardrop-shaped fruits weighing approximately 2.8–4.2 oz. The smooth skin matures to creamy green or luminous yellow-green and may retain fine dark green stripes or speckled markings. Its meaty, juicy flesh offers gentle sweetness, a delicate fruity character, and very little noticeable acidity. Reported heat, drought, and field-stress tolerance help the vigorous plants remain productive under challenging summer conditions. Check ripeness by watching for warmer yellow-green skin and slight softening rather than waiting for the fruits to change to red. Provide sturdy staking, caging, or trellising. Especially delicious in fresh salads, and also excellent for slicing, sandwiches, salsa, garnishes, and colorful tomato platters.
