Variety characteristics:

• 228 Jason 34 is a newer Polish tomato selection that may still show some variation in fruit shape and coloration. The mid-early, indeterminate plants reach approximately 5.9 feet under greenhouse conditions and produce substantial beefsteak tomatoes averaging about 10.6 oz. Fruits range from round and oblate to slightly irregular, ripening to golden orange or deep orange with attractive red, coral, or pink blushing across the skin. Inside, the thick, juicy orange flesh develops striking red marbling and central coloration. The flavor is notably sweet, rich, and full, making the fruits excellent for fresh slicing. Because Jason 34 remains a developing selection, individual plants may produce different proportions of orange and red or show minor variations in fruit form. Train plants to one or two main stems and provide sturdy staking, caging, or trellising. Excellent for sandwiches, salads, burgers, sauces, and colorful heirloom-style platters.
