Variety characteristics:

• 222 Dwarf Desert Star Cherry is a productive dwarf tomato from the Dwarf Tomato Project, selected from the Plucky family. The vigorous, bushy plants typically reach approximately 3–4 feet tall and feature attractive rugose potato-leaf foliage. This early to midseason variety produces abundant clusters of nearly round cherry tomatoes weighing approximately 1 oz each, equivalent to about 28 g. Fruits ripen to a soft pale ivory, creamy yellow, or light lemon-yellow color and offer a sweet, balanced flavor with moderate acidity. The compact plants are excellent for raised beds, patios, small gardens, and large containers, while a short stake or compact cage helps support the heavy crop. These attractive bite-size tomatoes are ideal for fresh snacking, lunch boxes, salads, garnishes, market displays, and colorful mixed-tomato bowls.
