Variety characteristics:

• 221 Glossy Rose Yellow is a striking newer anthocyanin tomato from the Indigo group. The vigorous, tall-growing plants produce generous clusters of smooth, glossy cocktail tomatoes weighing approximately 1.1–1.4 oz. Fruits are round to gently oval and ripen to bright yellow or golden yellow beneath a dramatic rose-red, purple, or nearly blue-black anthocyanin blush. Sun-exposed surfaces develop the deepest pigmentation, while shaded areas remain yellow, creating a vivid two-tone appearance. The juicy flesh offers pronounced sweetness, mild balancing acidity, and a pleasantly fruity tomato flavor. Provide sturdy staking, caging, or trellising and maintain good leaf spacing so sunlight can reach the developing fruits and enhance their coloration. Excellent for fresh snacking, salads, lunch boxes, appetizers, garnishes, and colorful tomato platters.
