2 George Washington is a productive, midseason indeterminate heirloom tomato from the United States. Vigorous regular-leaf vines produce broad, blunt-heart to oval-heart fruits typically weighing about 7.1–14.1 oz. The smooth tomatoes ripen to a rich pink-red and contain thick, juicy, watermelon-like flesh with a sweet, balanced tomato flavor. Plants continue setting fruit through the growing season and can deliver a generous harvest under favorable conditions. Provide strong staking, caging, or trellising for the vigorous vines and heavy fruits. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tomato juice, and sauces.
