Variety characteristics:

• 199 Blues on a Platter F5 is a striking midseason indeterminate tomato selection developed by Sofia Saakova. The elongated plum to heart-shaped fruits typically weigh approximately 5.3–8.8 oz, although size and shape may vary in this developing line. Creamy-yellow to golden-yellow skin contrasts beautifully with deep purple-black anthocyanin shoulders and streaks extending down the fruit. Inside, the thick, meaty yellow flesh offers juicy texture, pronounced sweetness, and appealing fruity notes with a gentle acidic finish. Some fully ripe fruits may develop a pink-red blush through the center. Tall plants can reach approximately 5.2–6.6 feet and benefit from sturdy staking or trellising to support their generous fruit clusters. Excellent for fresh slices, salads, sandwiches, and colorful tomato platters. This seed source is offered as an experimental F5 selection; variation in fruit shape, size, color, and plant characteristics may still occur.
