Variety characteristics:

• 197 Mlle Foriers is a striking midseason indeterminate tomato producing deep pink beefsteaks typically weighing approximately 8.8–10.6 oz. Rounded to slightly flattened fruits develop purple to nearly black splashes across the sun-exposed shoulders, creating a beautiful contrast with their rosy pink skin. Color coverage varies from fruit to fruit. The firm, juicy flesh contains relatively few seeds and offers a sweet, fruity flavor with balanced acidity. Plants have been reported to reach approximately 5–6 feet tall and benefit from sturdy stakes, cages, or trellising as they grow. Developed by Pascal Antigny in collaboration with Bruno Fournier from a cross of Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye and Indigo Rose, Mlle Foriers combines distinctive coloring with excellent fresh-eating quality. A beautiful choice for slicing, sandwiches, fresh salads, and colorful tomato platters.
