188 Foxy, known in Russian as Lisichka, is a compact mid-early determinate tomato developed in Russia. Smooth, elongated plum to inverted-egg-shaped fruits ripen to a rich golden-orange and typically weigh approximately 3.5–5.3 oz. The dense yet tender flesh offers a pleasantly sweet tomato flavor, while the relatively thin skin holds together well for whole-fruit canning and pickling. Plants remain compact, reaching about 2 feet outdoors and up to 3.3 feet in a greenhouse. They can be trained to three or four main stems when space and support permit. Despite their short stature, fruit-laden branches benefit from stakes or cages. Foxy is a versatile choice for fresh eating, salads, roasting, sauces, drying, pickling, and attractive whole-fruit preserves.
