172 Dwarf King Aramis is an open-pollinated tomato developed by American breeder Blane Horton. This midseason selection produces rounded to flattened beefsteaks weighing approximately 3.5–8.8 oz on compact dwarf plants reaching about 3.3–3.9 feet. Fruits ripen to rich chocolate-brown and dusky rose tones, often retaining olive-green shading around their broad, gently ribbed shoulders. The supplied photographs show red to pink flesh with darker seed gel and a pale yellow-green core. Meaty, juicy interiors deliver a pleasing balance of sweetness and acidity with a rich, lingering tomato flavor. Regular rugose foliage gives the plants their distinctive dwarf appearance. Productive plants benefit from a sturdy stake or cage to support fruit-laden branches. A flavorful choice for fresh slicing, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and colorful tomato platters.
