164 Sgt. Pepper's Rose is a midseason, productive indeterminate tomato and the pink-fruited counterpart of the Sgt. Pepper's anthocyanin line. Tall, slender vines can reach approximately 6.6 feet and have wispy, somewhat drooping foliage typical of many heart-shaped tomato varieties. The plants produce attractive heart-shaped fruits that ripen to pink, rose, or deep raspberry-red without the dark anthocyanin shoulders seen in the blue-shouldered form. Fruits typically weigh approximately 3.5–4.2 oz each and contain juicy, fine-textured raspberry-pink flesh with relatively few seeds. The rich aroma, sweet flavor, and meaty yet tender texture make this variety excellent for fresh slicing, salads, sandwiches, and gourmet tomato platters. Provide sturdy staking, regular tying, and selective pruning to support the thin stems and heavy fruit load.
