162 Almaty Orange Heart is a midseason, vigorous indeterminate tomato selected by Vitaly Alifirov of Kazakhstan. Plants reach approximately 5.2–5.9 feet and produce large, bright orange heart-shaped fruits with attractive pointed ends. Fruits typically weigh approximately 7.1–17.6 oz, while exceptional specimens may reach about 28 oz under favorable growing conditions. The dense, meaty flesh is juicy, buttery, and nearly seedless, with a rich, sweet flavor and a pleasant fruity aroma. This productive variety performs well in greenhouses and open gardens. Train plants to one or two main stems and provide sturdy staking or trellising to support the heavy fruits.
