137 AH Scorpii is a remarkably productive mid-to-late-season indeterminate tomato developed by American breeder Dale Thurber from a cross of Hoy and the Delicious 7.33 Hunt Line. Named after the immense red supergiant star AH Scorpii, this variety produces massive pink-to-raspberry beefsteaks commonly weighing approximately 14.1–28.2 oz, with exceptional fruits reaching or exceeding 2.2 lb. A documented specimen weighed 2.600 lb. The fruits vary from broadly flattened beefsteaks to rounded hearts and display substantial shoulders with attractive ribbing. Beneath the delicate clear skin, the tender raspberry-pink flesh is meaty, exceptionally juicy, and relatively low in seeds. Its rich sweetness, balanced acidity, and full old-fashioned tomato flavor make it especially desirable for fresh eating. Vigorous regular-leaf vines commonly reach approximately 5–7 feet tall and can produce an impressive number of exceptionally heavy fruits. Train plants to one or two main stems and provide heavy-duty stakes, cages, or trellising. Support individual fruit clusters when necessary, and maintain consistent soil moisture while the tomatoes are expanding. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, burgers, salads, tomato juice, sauces, and giant tomato exhibitions.
