135 Cafe Bule is a distinctive early-to-midseason indeterminate cherry tomato developed by J&L Gardens in New Mexico and introduced around 2012. Vigorous regular-leaf vines commonly reach approximately 4.3–5.9 feet tall and produce generous clusters of unusually shaped fruits. The small tomatoes weigh approximately 0.35–1.1 oz and develop rounded pear, teardrop, lightbulb, or miniature vase shapes with exceptionally long, narrow necks. As they ripen, the glossy fruits change from green to deep red, mahogany, and rich chocolate-brown. The juicy, relatively firm flesh contains few seeds and delivers a pleasantly sweet, aromatic flavor balanced by a gentle touch of acidity. Train plants to three or four main stems and provide sturdy stakes, cages, strings, or trellising to support the productive vines. Maintain even soil moisture, as the thin-skinned fruits may develop longitudinal cracking after sudden rainfall or irregular watering. Excellent for fresh snacking, salads, appetizers, lunch boxes, garnishes, roasting, pickling, and whole-fruit preserving.
