131 Dwarf Russian Swirl is a spectacular mid-to-late-season dwarf indeterminate tomato developed through the Dwarf Tomato Project. Sturdy tree-type plants feature broad, deeply rugose regular leaves and commonly reach approximately 3.3 feet tall, occasionally extending to 4–4.6 feet under favorable conditions. Despite their compact stature, the productive plants bear an impressive crop of rounded to flattened beefsteaks weighing approximately 6–12 oz. Fruits ripen to brilliant golden-yellow and orange, decorated with vivid coral-red, pink, and crimson swirls that create a striking tie-dyed appearance. Inside, the thick, juicy golden flesh displays beautiful red marbling and radiating streaks. Its rich, sweet, well-balanced flavor combines gentle acidity with the full, fruity character expected from an excellent bicolor slicer. The sturdy plants perform well in garden beds and large patio containers and have demonstrated useful adaptability under cool, wet, and otherwise challenging growing conditions. Allow the naturally branching plants to develop with minimal pruning and provide a strong stake or cage to support the heavy crop. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tomato juice, sauces, salsa, and colorful tomato platters.
