129 Mom's Raspberry Oxheart is a rare and highly productive midseason Italian heirloom tomato producing enormous raspberry-pink heart-shaped fruits. Vigorous indeterminate regular-leaf vines commonly reach approximately 5.6–5.9 feet tall and perform best when trained to one or two main stems. The broad oxheart tomatoes typically weigh approximately 10.6–24.7 oz, with exceptional fruits approaching 2.2 lb under favorable growing conditions. Fruits develop a smooth to gently ribbed heart shape with full shoulders and a tapered blossom end. The tender skin ripens to an attractive pink, raspberry-red, and deep raspberry color. Inside, the thick, meaty flesh is exceptionally juicy and aromatic, with relatively few seeds and small seed cavities in many large fruits. The flavor is intensely sweet, rich, and fragrant, with a balanced old-fashioned tomato finish. Provide heavy-duty stakes, cages, or trellising and support individual fruit clusters when necessary. Maintain even moisture while the fruits are enlarging to reduce cracking and blossom-end damage. Excellent for thick fresh slices, sandwiches, salads, tomato plates, juice, sauces, and impressive heirloom displays.
