128 Lightning Giant is a productive indeterminate tomato producing large golden-red bicolor beefsteaks weighing approximately 7.1–14.1 oz. The rounded to slightly flattened fruits develop full shoulders and occasional gentle ribbing. As they ripen, the skin changes from yellow to rich golden-orange and amber, decorated with brilliant red, coral, and copper-colored streaks that create an attractive metallic appearance. Inside, the thick, meaty golden-orange flesh displays a pink-to-red center with beautiful radiating marbling. The juicy texture is complemented by a pleasantly sweet, balanced flavor with mild acidity and fresh fruity notes. Vigorous indeterminate vines continue flowering and setting fruit throughout the growing season and require sturdy stakes, cages, or trellising to support the productive crop. Train plants to one or two main stems and maintain consistent soil moisture while the large fruits are developing. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tomato juice, colorful sauces, salsa, and striking bicolor tomato platters.
