1154 Chocolate Henry F6 is an advanced midseason indeterminate breeding selection developed by Sofia Saakova from a cross between Henry O'Sena and Cindy's West Virginia. Vigorous potato-leaf plants grow approximately 4.9–5.6 feet tall and produce large, round to oblate beefsteak tomatoes weighing approximately 10.6–24.7 oz. The smooth fruits mature to rich mahogany, brick red, and chocolate brown, sometimes retaining attractive olive-green shading across the shoulders. Inside, the deep red-brown flesh is dense, meaty, and exceptionally juicy, with multiple compact seed chambers. Its flavor is sweet, rich, and full-bodied, combining old-fashioned tomato intensity with a smooth, complex finish. The word "chocolate" describes the fruit's dark coloration rather than a chocolate-flavored tomato. Train plants to one or two main stems and provide sturdy staking or trellising for the heavy fruits. As an F6 selection, minor variation in fruit size, shape, and color may still occur. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, dark tomato platters, juice, sauces, and roasting.
