Variety characteristics:

• 1117 Amarillo Long Yellow Cherry is a productive indeterminate tomato bearing attractive elongated fruits weighing approximately 0.53–0.88 oz. Larger than a typical cherry tomato, the smooth fruits range from oval and plum-shaped to graceful teardrop forms, often finishing in a distinctive pointed tip. They mature from pale yellow to rich golden yellow and orange, with some fruits developing a delicate orange-red blush along the sun-exposed side or near the tip. The juicy flesh offers a pleasant, well-balanced tomato flavor that makes the fruits enjoyable directly from the vine. Vigorous vines continue flowering and setting abundant crops throughout the growing season and require secure staking, caging, or trellising. Harvest when the fruit has developed a full golden-orange color for the best flavor. Excellent for snacking, lunchboxes, salads, roasting, skewers, colorful tomato mixes, and whole-fruit preserves.
