Variety characteristics:

• 1113 Canadian Sweet Ball F8 is an advanced-generation tomato selection developed from a cross between a traditional Canadian tomato and an anthocyanin-bearing line. The midseason, indeterminate plants produce smooth, round to slightly oblate fruits with a brilliant yellow to golden base color. Sun-exposed portions develop striking burgundy, purple-red, and nearly black anthocyanin pigmentation, while shaded areas remain bright yellow, creating a different two-tone pattern on nearly every fruit. Sliced tomatoes reveal juicy golden-yellow flesh with a substantial center and multiple seed chambers. Grower evaluations describe the flavor as exceptionally sweet, making the fruits especially appealing for fresh eating. Provide vigorous vines with secure staking, caging, or trellising, and maintain good sun exposure to encourage the deepest exterior coloration. As an F8 breeding line, Canadian Sweet Ball is expected to show substantial consistency, although minor variation in fruit shape, yellow color, and anthocyanin coverage may still occur. Excellent for fresh slicing, salads, sandwiches, colorful tomato platters, salsa, and garden displays.
