109 Yasha Yugoslavian is a vigorous and productive indeterminate heirloom tomato originating in the former Yugoslavia. The tall, regular-leaf vines produce generous yields of large pink oxheart and elongated heart-shaped beefsteaks, typically weighing 1–1.5 lb, with exceptional fruits approaching 2 lb. Fruit shape may vary from broad, rounded hearts to longer, more tapered oxhearts, often with gently rounded shoulders and light ribbing near the stem. The dense, meaty interior contains relatively few seeds while remaining juicy and tender. Its outstanding flavor combines rich sweetness, classic tomato aroma, and a full-bodied finish. Provide heavy-duty stakes, cages, or trellising to support the vigorous vines and substantial fruit clusters. An excellent choice for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tomato platters, sauces, and canning.
