Variety characteristics:

• 1082 Wild Eggplant Tomato is a tall indeterminate variety reaching about 5.2-6.6 ft. Plants should be trained to 2-3 main stems, and pruning is recommended. This mid-early variety is suitable for both greenhouse and open-field growing. Fruits weigh about 3.5-7 oz and ripen to purple-black and deep red tones. The cylindrical fruit shape closely resembles an eggplant. The scarlet flesh is very juicy, with a sweet flavor and rich tomato aroma. Fruits are resistant to cracking and show resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus. Excellent for salads, juice, sauces, cooking, and fresh eating.
