108 Carnival-1 is an early to midseason indeterminate tomato producing attractive flattened, ribbed beefsteak fruits weighing approximately 2.5–7.1 oz. Fruits mature from green to bright yellow or golden yellow and develop distinctive brown, purple-brown, or deep purple anthocyanin markings across the shoulders and upper skin. The colorful fruits are especially attractive when fully ripe, when their flavor becomes noticeably sweeter, fruitier, and more balanced. Harvesting too early may result in a sharper acidic taste, so allow the fruits to color completely on the vine whenever possible. Vigorous plants can reach approximately 6.2 feet and require sturdy staking, caging, or trellising. Excellent for fresh slicing, salads, sandwiches, tomato platters, sauces, and colorful heirloom-style displays.
